Well, it’s official! Second Earth is available for purchase. It will take a little while before it appears on Amazon, but hopefully soon. In the mean time, both ebook and paperback are available on Lulu.com
It’s a good feeling to have that done and dusted. While, I’ve been happy overall with Lulu.com, I have been getting a little concerned about their delay times. I’m still waiting for distribution for my second zombie book and there was a hiccup in the approval process with Second Earth. Let’s see if everything gets resolved.
Earlier this year, Amazon changed their requirements for books, which meant that everything had to be pre-approved again and so there has been a backlog, which has been understandable, but they should really have sorted it out by now.
But, let’s not dwell on the negative. Second Earth is a really good book that I am super proud of, from beginning to end. And my new book, I’m working on, is finally ready to put keyboard to screen. Now if some of you might remember, I actually did already have a story line for this book. In fact, I even went and wrote up the first ten thousand words. But then I realised, I didn’t like it.
Usually, this is a normal thing that most artists have. But for some reason this felt different. It felt like the story I was written had been written too often before and that it didn’t really feel like something I would want on my book shelf. So I went back to pen and paper and started unravelling a new story. One with a distinct timeline, multiple characters, more twists and an ending that breaks the boundaries of story telling.
Now that feel more like a book with my name on in.
So what do I have to do now? Well, I have to write it. Am I? No, I’m sitting here with you. It’s a little daunting doing the first sentence of a book. I don’t know if you know this!
Yes, yes, I’ll go do it. But first I need to take some photos of me and Second Earth, so you can see I’m not catfishing you. It really is a good, and I really suggest you read it if you like things a little off-beat.
