Hello reader. I’ve been thinking and thinking often leads to some honest truths. The truth is, I haven’t sold that many books. Now, there are a couple of reasons for this. The first is that probably most people don’t even know my books exist. The other is that, while I’m good at marketing companies, I’m no good at self-promotion. I suck at it, and I don’t get it. The next is that I don’t really want to reach out to random people to read my book for free so that they can tell their followers, especially since most of the time, this comes with some fee, and I’m not too keen on spending money.

So here we are. Five books written and no followers. What a life for an author.

But I’ve also given the future some thought. I’ve been thinking about how the world is going, how AI is going to impact it, and how the internet is going to change. I’ve been wondering about how people interact with the internet. The days of exploring and travelling through pages are dwindling, and even here, on WordPress, the number of actual readers vs marketers who stop by to like things is not really a thing anymore.

I’m sure there are still some corners that still have true engagers and readers, and it is now my quest to find them. So, for the next year, I’m going to do that. I have created a site, with a map, and my goal is to fill that map with stories. A Discworld, if you like.
